over the weekend and today

moving office today, over the weekend we completed what we needed to do! cleaning and fixing all the furnitures. i know its such a bore! but we had no choice, nak budget kena lah kerja keras :P

so yeah i'm saying my bosses are exploiting their workers!

48 hours over the weekend just wasn't enough. seriously. or i just think weekends should start from thursday til sunday? what say you? nak start petition? hahah... *i wish la!*

was at a good friends wedding on saturday night @ royale chulan. gila grand, and without knowing i managed to go with the theme... black and red roses! beautiful occassion, if you're wondering there was protocols *go figure* and the performances was awesome, especially from Dato' Sheila Majid :)

got home at about 11 p.m. and my bub was fast asleep.

sunday, had to run errands again! well as usual, we had to do some marketing for a weeks provisions. then came home, cooked for my bub. fed her lunch and i was off for a second round of buying stuff at ikea!

i was zombified by the end of the outing. came home and crashed without realizing i was asleep as soon as i lay my head on my pillow.

dinner was at vicchuda, heh... nothing to shout about anymore seriously, either their food standard has gone down, or mine has gone up a notch.

came home and crashed again... heheh... yes indeed this weekend i did not want anything else but to just sleep and recuperate!

okay i guess that's it for now.

packing again. bye.

the jist

been meaning to blog, i think i have about 4 saved drafts! but i was just lazy.

anyway, just a brief update on the latest haps.

my little chubster just turned 3 months old on monday, same day as eid al-adha. so of course it was more meaningful for us. we made our way to my parents, had brunch which was abso-scrumptious! then we headed to my in-laws. yes, we're fair like that... that's why i have an undying love for my hubby.

tired, but satisfied at the end of the day.

the whole week i've been stressing my self out, (my cold sore was starting to act up! thank goodness, i managed to overcome the whole thing) remember the wedding that we got invited to? yeah, leaving the little one at home with the maid is fine, but i still have my doubts and observations on her! so i asked my parents to come over and monitor the both of them.

so, fri eve... as i was getting ready, the little one seemed suspicious... i asked my mom to carry her and she screamed her head off! hahaa... my maid had to calm her down... it didn't really work, i had to carry to pacify her. yeah, imagine this was going to be my second outing away from her for more than an hour! imagine that!

skipping the whole mumbo-jumbo, mom just told us to leave and enjoy our eve at the wedding.

finally arrived at sime darby convention center, being out without the little one feels weird for me. yes, call me crazy or whatever you want la... i just felt odd.

i don't know if its normal or not, but i was pretty excited about dressing up... you see i've been having doubts and all, coz since i've been preggers, you know there is such thing as excess fats being developed, and after birth, its not that easy to lose it all! hahaha.. so yeah, i was dying to find out if i was still able to fit in my corset! it went well though. hooray.

quick note about the bride, a friend that i've known since we were 10! wow, can you imagine that? crazy eh? but she's still the same person i've known all these years :)

"congratulations tunku putri nur asma & asraf!"

you had an extremely elegant reception, we're sorry we couldn't stay til the end... hope we'll see you next sunday!

came home and it was such an overwhelming feeling for me, the 2 hours away from the little one made me teary when i got home, saw her sleeping, thought she was going to continue but somehow she knew i was back and woke up! *the look on her face, how it lit up was just priceless... i was speechless*

such a great feeling being a mommy, you ought to try it sometime, hihi... ;)

today

i think every couple who is planning to get married, should have a wedding registry! i know its not in our culture, but it makes it so much more convenient, and i think our generation is able to accept it, no?

it sure beats the hours you spend, walking around the shopping mall trying to figure out what in whole wide world would be that 'special gift' for your friends! dang, and what if you think its special and to them its just an ordinary thing?

like the last wedding we attended we asked the bride and groom directly, what they'd actually preferred, gifts or cash? up front they said they preferred cash. easy peasy.

yeap, its that time of the month again, when your schedule is filled with wedding bells! so this weekend, i will be busy walking around the shopping mall, figuring out what to buy. blegh.

seriously, its nice to go get your registry up! i did mine in metrojaya, it was so so fun, all you gotta do is just point out the items you want, and the personal shopper would jot it down in your list.

yesterday we brought aira out, i'm so liking the christmas deco at all the malls, filled with beautiful fairy lights, glitters, colorful decos and all... haa... she likes it too!

*oh, just a heads up, to the food lovers! there's a tiny shop in OU (called Molten LAVA - near cold storage), that sells CHURROS, and yes they're delicious and pretty cheap - 4 sticks of cinnamon sugar, is only RM4++ and believe me, you... its scrumptious!*

we'll be attending a post-thanksgiving party this sunday, i think bringing a cheese platter would suffice! i wouldn't know what else to bring... plus i don't have a lot of free time to cook now, let alone bake.

eid adha is on monday, so looking forward to eating my moms food, last raya i was still in confinement, can you imagine i was totally tortured! everyone was enjoying the raya food, while i was drooling, looking at others enjoying it... its payback time! i'm so gonna SPLURGE! slurp, slurp, slurp. chup, i can't slurp the rendang, but i'm hoping i could at least eat the lontong and soto!

aira will be turning 3 months old then, how time flies huh? before you even know it, my daughter will be able to sit down and enjoy her meal with us... i so can't wait for that!!

thank god, today is a better day for me... hoping for a lovely weekend too.

we thought wrong

my little bub totally proved us all wrong!

she was extremely well behaved when i took her for the wedding reception, yes indeed people! I TOOK HER TO THE WEDDING RECEPTION! you read it right! i know i'm not suppose to bring a BABY! but i couldn't help it, my silly of a maid took off for some cuti or better put raunchy get-away-weekend! and and me moms in penang, can't leave her else where so i decided, take her la! hehe... by the time we got to the hall, she was still wide awake but had her stomach filled. then i totally had to rely on the magical binky! carried her for at least 10 minutes and it sent her to la-la-land, only having to wake up an hour and a half after, and after putting the binky again she slept for another 45 minutes or so!

woo hoo, mission accomplished!

but she missed the FC blonde's performance though... she didn't get to see her daddy and his futsal team mates sang their heart out looking like some teenage boys, dedicating the song 'kau ilhamku' to hafiz and aishah!

the wedding reception too was sweet and elegant! theme was black and white! it was purrrrrrdy!
then met a whole whole lot of me old friends, the food was good, the performances was entertaining, love the wedding favor, and we totally enjoyed each others company.

i didn't get to snap any photos of the wedding and the performance, gotta get my hands on those with the cam yesterday! hmmphh!! anyhoo, shouldn't matter much if memory is good, can always depend on it.

have a good day!

i believe congratulations should be in place...

i believe i should start my blog with congratulating my friends!

dahl & loque; congratulations on your first step, to eternal happiness that is well deserved by the both of you! (making a LDR work is obviously challenging, but you guys have given hope to those who has lost all hope in that) KUDOS!

a personal note to dahl, "darling i'm just a phone call away, if you need any help at all with wedding prep or to talk to vent out errr whatever else no specific reason needed pun is fine... i got your back ;)" ... i is love you!

hafiz & aishah; congratulations on your akad nikah last night, may your marriage be filled with happiness and your love flourished more and more each day! i must say the wedding favor is absolutely gorgeous!

on a shorter note: we took aira out on friday night to the curve for dins, met up with some friends - rini & rizal, liana & zadey and selly! it felt like it was planned, a reunion... its been a while since we last saw them and hung out! it was cute seeing the 2 preggy ladies up and about! rini is due in feb, while liana is due in april, i so can't wait... aira will have 2 new friends... wee!

then on saturday: my parents came over for breakfast, mom usually get excited in the mornings cause she's able to come over and bathe aira. then at 11 we made our way back to their place, had lunch with my uncle and auntie, who came all the way from rembau to see aira for an hour and a half hour only!

back home, got ready and headed to masjid wilayah for the solemnization ceremony. short, sweet and elegant!

another long day ahead of us today! sigh.

progress report

yesterday we learned few new things from aira, since she just turned 2 months and 3 weeks old, she's able to 'mengereng' all on her own... okay for those who do not understand that word! shame on you! its when an infant lay down on her side without any assistance!

she was not only trying her very best to do that, but today she's been extremely talkative! it was hilarious, we had a good conversation for at least 10 minutes! then i guess she got bored talking to me, because she knew i just pretended i understood her. my maid was having a ball of a time laughing at the both of us.

today she's finally giving in bit by bit, in the morning she let the maid bathe her, then in the eve wipe her before changing her to her jammies, then after feed her milk! good progress huh? alhamdullilah, i hope it'll get better!! as i have been invited to 3 weddings (hafiz/nov, putri/dec, & ayin/dec) and i don't know how in the world am i going for these occassions if the little one does not detach her self from me!

i'm making sure, slowly but surely...

we're suppose to go for our first family trip this saturday to malacca, but we decided to cancel it as hubs might be busy with work, to just pack up our stuff and go? hmm... tempting but can't. so we discussed and thought maybe it'll be good if we stayed in kl, somewhere where we can take aira, then i thought why waste money! plus i don't want her to miss her music class on saturday!

wow, the predicament. tee-hee.

i do have photos of her on my phone doing all these new tricks - the most adorable is her discovering things she could do with her tounge! she likes sticking it out now, simply irresistable. if only i know how to upload it from my phone. well, til then we'll just have to wait til i could snap it with my cam. boo!

last but not least, i totally miss my lovelies! you know who you are, its been a while... i think its about that time that we meet up at the curve for coffee or dins? what say you? missing you guys so so much!
