happy

Woken up by the bright sunlight which made its way into the bedroom through the gap of the curtains, reached out for my handphone to check what time it was, to my surprise it was 5:00 a.m. I can’t be up this early, i still need my sleep. Tossing and turning, i managed to sleep for another hour. I had to wake up, my stomach was growling. It was already 10 a.m. in KL, and yes it was rather difficult to adjust my self to the local time... which is only 4 hours behind KL. Haha, yes dramatic.
Made my self a cup of coffee, and turned on the tv. I’m being cliche here, i still have to keep up to my routine, so i slowly opened the drawer and took out the laptop. Then i started blogging.

We made plans to go to city center today, but we couldn’t just leave without working out. We were there for almost 40 minutes, good enough to sweat it out. Got ready and made our way out. While waiting for a cab outside, a guy approached us and asked where we’re headed to, told him city center... he said for DHS 20, he’d take us there. The perfect example of “teksi sapu” haha. We declined, didn’t want those. Got into the cab, and told the driver where we were going, then he looked and said, “sir, there very jam... i take you somewhere else, you want to go mall of emirates? It’s bigger and nicer sir”... we looked at him and shook our heads, its ok, we need to go there... well he didn’t look too happy, and he agreed but we had to go through the diera, the longer way just to avoid the jam.

Ahh finally, i don’t know why for some strange reason even though city center is small, i like it... it pretty complete. Hubs and myself decided to walk and meet up after a couple of hours, at our favourite cafe La Gaufrette. As i was walking i saw my favourite shop! Hooray, they had H&M! I just walked in and went all crazy... haha, i was happy... i felt like i was a little girl that walked into the best toyshop – hamleys of course, but instead it wasn’t toys, it was clothes and accessories.

Walked and walked, got tired and stopped for a while for a quick ciggy, walked again entered debenhams, zara, mng, pimkie, benetton, nine west, bla bla bla... i got tired after a while; but i kept on going because i wanted to look for moms birthday present. She’ll be joining us pretty soon, either on her birthday or a couple of days after. Well they pretty much have the same shops as we do in kl, i decided that i didn’t want to buy anything in these shops. Pointless.

Went grocery shopping, that was fun... i know we have carrefour in KL too but they had a wider variety when it comes to their product range. Which was cool, and i discovered they had chilli sauce too, yeay problem solved. You see the last few trips, i had to collect those little packets that we had gotten from the fast food joints, i was pathetic enough to bring the sauce here. Hehe. Yes, weird i know! but like i said, i was glad to discover that they have those. They even have durians, but it was being sold at DHS 20 each. Haha, so expensive! Well not that i was craving for those anyway... just thought i share it with you guys.

Finally, before we left... we passed by the food court, everything has changed, they have renovated it, looks pretty good now. Then i suddenly saw, the bright lights shining on top of Krispy Kreme! YAHOO! They had krispy kreme... again i got excited! Haha, yes if you noticed its easy for me to get excited and be pleased. Hehe, doesn’t take much, honestly. Well as fat as i’m concerned that is. Hehe...

Rested, and got ready for dins, my uncle wanted to take us out to jumeirah for dinner and a quick walk by the beach. So we decided to have indian food, as he wanted to eat naan, place is called its’indian - the interior looks pretty stunning, the lights were dim, the walls were dark wood, the chairs were upholstered with dark maroon, the room was separated by the rich crystals and chandeliers. Pretty romantic. But to be honest, something i will never ever have in my house, can’t do crystals a bit too much for me.

Walked by the beach... just enjoying the view and the breeze...

Current song i’m listening to: Summer fondue by Eric Kupper – Hed Kandi

Like a little girl walking happily with a lollipop in her hand...

As i was watching telly i got a call from hani! What a surprise! Hehe, yes babes i miss you guys too... no doubt bout it. Hope everyone is well there. I guess you guys aren’t bored since class has started right? Hehe, best of luck!

After all that i cooked lunch, we had alio olio pasta with lamb kofta meat balls. Since we had already gotten the groceries, we might as well cook! Just before lunch we were watching 28 days... well i’m really not a big fan of these “infected” movies. Waiting for suspense from these mindless zombies to bite the living hell out of you. Its a big NO NO for me, but since we’ve not seen it... i just sat and watched it...

Then i got ready to head to MOE; no, not the ministry of education its - Mall of Emirates

The journey there took approximately 30 minutes, and thank goodness the traffic wasn’t bad. Its better that you leave for your destination after the rush hour of lunch...

As we got down at the entrance it was a sight for sore eyes! We saw the bentley, wait two of it one white and the other was black, a ferrari i honestly can’t identify which model (hubs mentioned it to me but like i said i have stml – short term memory loss) :D can’t blame me... the new M class by mercedes, the new range rover sports edition, 1 series by BMW, the newer model of mercedes which looked a bit weird due to the fact that they had raised the roof (that particular car was meant for the sheikh) and the rest of the cars parked there was his entourage! Wooooohoooooo....

The main purpose of going to moe was to watch pirates of the carribean, and buy the tickets for aerosmith. So we walked towards thecinema which took us 10 minutes, this mall is oh-so-not-funny-its-bloody-huge! But i’m not going to complain, i like the mall is beautiful, with skylight dome and everything. Its extremely porsh looking.
Yeay, pirates was showing at 3:30 p.m. we still had another half an hour to kill, got the tickets and looked for the virgin megastore... i was seriously hoping that they still had tickets to aerosmiths... but as soon as i got into the virgin store i got distracted by the electronic gadgets! Yes to my surprise i got more excited than hubs!!

Abang, i saw the mobile sony speakers for your mp3 player! Let me know if you want me to get it ok?

Then we headed straight to the aerosmith counter, hooray! They still had tickets, yeay yeay! We paid and left virgin with a damn big freaking GRIN on me face! Like a little girl with a huge candy/lollipop in her hand... :)

Before entering the cinema, my usual routine is to queue up for some goodies – popcorn and drinks, but they had a whole lot more to offer. The popcorn had 3 flavors – salted, caramel and cheese! Haha, i was tempted to try those, but i was afraid to... so i ordered caramel – all time fav! They had nachos too with salsa or cheese, they had this machine for drinks “a mix blast” or something like that, looked pretty complicated... so we just ordered diet coke! Haha. Yes very monotanous and dull! But you know us humans... we’re a creature of habit.

Pirates of the carribean – was 3 hours long filled with halucinations... well watch it and you’ll understand what i’m referring to. The story line was pretty much twisted, filled with characters that back stabs each other, nothing new right? Costumes were impressive, dialogue was good, cinematography was good as usual. Jack sparrow is such an entertainer, the 3 hour movie went by quickly...

Walked around the mall right after the movie for about 2 ½ hours, then we met up for a quick drink at costa. I was tired as hell, as i was walking around 8 p.m. i felt like i was going to fall asleep while walking. Hahah. Yes sleep walking, that’ll be a story to tell huh? Nah, tough luck! That’s never going to happen...

Didn’t buy much there – just window shopping! Dang! Even i was surprised. Haha.
Ms. Dahlia – just in case if you’re reading this blog, i saw something that reminded me so much of you... miss you darls! Its hilarious! You know the act that you do when no one is listening to you – you’d lift your palm up and say hello hi bye?! Hahah... i saw something that illustrates that.

the journey - 26 May 2007

On the way to the airport i spoke to my mom, she told me that we will be arriving in dubai at 5:35 p.m. local time. Funny i calculated the hours of the journey, we should be arriving earlier at 2:30 p.m. We were rather puzzled. She called me back in 5 minutes telling me that the agent had made a mistake of booking us the flight which had a transit in karachi!

Goodness gracious! Well i was kind of oblivious to this, it was my fault. I just informed the agent to book the ticket to dubai by hook or by crook on the 26th! Hah! Spoke to hubs and apologized, well i was looking at the bright side, i have never been to karachi, although we weren’t allowed to leave the airport, the least i could say was that, “hey we made a pit stop at the jinnah airport. Haha. Yes, pathetic i know... but you have to make the best of it.

After 6 hours we finally arrived, and were rather excited... well at least we could go for a quick ciggy! Just as we were about to get down, the steward announced that the authority at the airport will not permit us leaving the plane! Damn! So we sat down, hoping that we will be able to... 15 minutes has passed, still no good news. Oh well, we just sat read magazines and listen to music. However, there was this rather impatient passenger. He was pissing the living hell out of me! There was a lot of profanity from him, and he was getting all pissed at the crew. By the way, mind you it has nothing to do with them, he should have taken it up to the local authority, and i shall wish him all the best!

Well a bloke who was sitting with us managed to walk around the airport, according to him only limited numbers were allowed to walk out of the plane. Yeah that made me feel better! We were rather insignificant. Haha. But he said we didn’t miss anything, for they had nothing interesting to offer... so yeah, not regretting walking under the hot weather. Just to inform you it was 40 degrees.

****

Finally after 1 hour and forty minutes, we arrived in dubai! Hooray! As the plane was on the runway, we were rather stunned that the new wing of the airport to accomodate for the new A380 was almost complete. I was impressed, and excited.
Walked in, and the first thing we noticed was the scent in the airport, no it wasn’t the smell of their famous oud, it was the ciggarette smoke smell. Haha, we thought we would be fortunate enough to find the smoking zone, but unfortunately on the arrival section there’s none. Oh well, boo hoo. As we got to the immigration counter, the officer had asked, “so where are you from?” HELLO! It was written on the passport, what are you blind? But of course we didn’t say that! We looked at him smiling to our disbelief he had asked that and answered, “Malaysia” and we’re here for a vacation.

We walked quickly to pick up our bags, and laughing on the inside.
As we got out of the airport, i was looking for a familiar face... and there he was, my uncle! We were rather happy to see him, he’s extremely cool and chatty, just like me! Haha, not! I’m just chatty. The ride to our apartment took at least 30 minutes, he was just telling us that the traffic jam in dubai has trippled compared to last year! Damn.

As soon as we settled in the apartment, i felt extremely exhausted! We were suppose to meet him for dinner, but i had to cancel. I just wanted to shower and watch the telly, yes the tv channel here is rather interesting! Loads of cooking show, talk show by Tyra, Oprah, Rachel Rays, Ellen, and the series were all updated too! Grey’s, everybody hates chris, and more.

Walked along the street of the apartment, and bought some food from SFC (southern fried chicken), the tagline wasn’t it’s finger licking good, it was “lip licking... something” can’t remember what it was. Haha. Thought it was pretty cute!
Had dinner, watched telly and fell asleep...

just a message

to: my happy people!

i just want to wish you the best of luck with your results! i'm sure everything will be super! have fun in college. blog, blog, and blog yeah? so i at least know what i'm missing.

thanks for the wonderful wishes!

to: abang!

don't forget my plants, fishes, car, and apartment... thank you. love you. don't miss us too much ya... and please... don't celebrate any "birthdays" when we're not around! haha, i'm sure you can crack the code! be good!

the sweet escape

i'm excited that we're leaving today.
but worried, the weather is too hot for me to handle.
but still i'm excited.
it's been exactly a year since we were last there.
i miss it.
really i do.
the common question that we get.
"what's so great about the place?"
all i could do is smile.
and tell they just have to experience it.
then they can judge it.

i'm excited.
but at the same time i'm going to miss everyone back home.
then i feel sad.
but i console myself, its only for a couple of weeks.
then i get excited again.

glad that we decided to go.
we just need a break.
well i think i do.
i like to be a little dramatic!
i think some of you might know that.
but heck! thank goodness hubs can put up with me.
and i'm really thankful for that.
i love you hubs!
hope we won't tear each others heads for the next few weeks.
since it'll only be the two of us.
i think we should be able to manage, what do you think?

counting the hours til we see you...

it was entertaining! oh wait, i was...

last night was the first time ever i was tempted to play futsal.it has been what? approximately 2 1/2 years since i last kicked a ball... well nothing personal, i just have serious mishaps with balls! well those close to me would know, bits and pieces of it. well, as we arrived at sports planet there were enough players to begin with, so i was a bit reluctant to make an effort! haha, yes knowing me... i would rather sit and watch the game; but somehow we managed to convince jon to play... hehe so i guess its only fair that i joined the game for the last 40 minutes.

the game was fun, everyone had their moves and agendas. i guess for me it wasn't about kicking the ball, it was more like screaming and kicking! hey, mind you i was multi-tasking ok!?! who says it's easy to scream and play... very distracting! haha, nah i'm just being silly. i must admit though i was rather disappointed, (damnit!) i so wanted to score against hubs! ergh... mission not accomplished.

hadi and dee was having a great laugh, haha... i'm glad i could entertain :)

as the game ended, oh gosh the excruciating pain on my knee!! i'm old for this sport, i should just stick to badminton... hehe, but then again it was fun so i might just indulge in a little pain once a week after this trip...

yes dee, i will join the next few sessions ok? and i hope i could contribute more to my team, but as long as you guys are entertained by my silly-screaming-oh-my-goodness-its-so-frustrating-can't-kick-the-ball-act! i'll be happy. mission accomplished then. hehe... looking forward to the next one!

love it

i don't know if its normal for you to imagine what your kids will be wearing and all... but like i said secretly i do this at my own free time and will. couple of weeks back i was walking in bsc, and i saw this extremely cute dress! my-oh-my it was pretty and very elegant! don't get me wrong, i like boys clothes too but, you just have to admit it... the designers are more inclined towards the girls! when i was out to buy some baby clothing for my girl friends baby shower, i couldn't find anything that was appealing enough for me to buy. somehow this shop managed to display something really stylish! for both, and so i took the photos... they're pretty classy!

the bow, the white trimmings, wow... i love it! what do you think? i think generally kids will look adorable in them...

oh yeah, before i forget i think they'll look funkier if they're placed in those cool strollers by quinny! its like pushing your kids in a ferrari for a stroller you know! YOUZA! that is a must have... okay i think i should just stop for now... i'm freaking my self up. haha.

my secret garden

my little pride! i've been meaning to add the pictures to the blog, but never seemed to have the patience to... but now i do! ta-da! i just wanted to share it with you guys, this has been my little project last few weeks. i take good care of them... can you see my lilac lily? this is where i sit for coffee and just look at the trees!

"cikz, told you it was real and not the virtual garden! ehehe... next time when you come back hopefully it'll be more equiped, and resort like..." miss ya!

this is where i seek for peace and solace, oh by the way i forgot to mention the new edition the secret garden is my guppies! if you must know guppy is known as the millionsfish, it is one of the most famous fresh water aquarium fish species, in the world. the females are 4-6 cm long and males are 21/2 - 31/2 cm long... how cute, the male is tinier!

i feel sad, that i will have to leave my secret garden for a couple of weeks! hoping that my brother remembers to water the plants and feed my fishes...

this is a friendly reminder for you... hihi... thanks!

ergh... under the weather!

gosh, i've been feeling sick! this can't be happening... i'm suppose to be up and about. instead i'm out for at most 2 hours, then i'm back home... and mind you its just to run errands, not hang out with friends! boo hoo... i need to recover! huhu...

damn it!

a good day

i felt like super hero today, too many promises made and i don't know if my body permits! since its been a while since we've had brunch or lunch together with the guys, i told hubs to organize the session at khanaa! so at 10 a.m. he sent out the messages to them! we didn't know what to expect, who was coming but hey, i was happy... as long as we're going to eat! hehe. one of my main objectives in life, is to keep my tummy filled with yummy food! :)

as soon as we got there, wow... i was overwhelmed! great turn up! except for amir - he had to go to KB, but we managed to see the rest. my bro, malik, suffian, adik, chak, adek, iwan, zadey and liana. how nice! it's been a while huh guys? i honestly forget how kiddish we act when we're all reunited! the amount of food we had on the table was crazy, the curries, the fried chicken, fish, squid, mangoes, the coconut drinks, the never-ending orders of drinks... sat and chatted...

back at parents, quick peek on dad. he's feeling a lot better. alhamdulillah. was there for an hour or so, hubs bought new dvds. yeay, new movies to watch!

back home rested for an hour and waited for nora's message, you see the thing is her hols is only for 3 weeks; we usually see each other towards the end of her holidays for some apparent reason. but we'll meet each other nonetheless. she was leaving for bali the next day, so she had to buy some last minute things to drag along with her. so i waited til she confirmed the time that she could meet up with me. while waiting, hadi called me asking if i had met her already and they wanted to let me know that they were heading towards the bbq earlier, since hani had to go home earlier. i'm sorry you guys, i wanted to spend time with you guys too, but i haven't seen nora for a year, and she was leaving for bali on monday back on thursday and off to melbourne on sunday! :( sob sob... see my dilemma! hehe cheh-cheh sooo dramatic.

7:30 p.m. was in chef & brew with nora! it was pleasant, we're still the same, like when we were in form 5. hehe. those innocent giggles, filling the gaps on those missing weeks, months and years! it was seriously fun and great hanging out with her, so laid back and chilled out. oh ya by the way babes, did i tell you i was proud of ya!! hehe... i am, i am... hoping that i could convince hadi for a second visit... hehe wish me luck.

got home by 9:00 p.m. waited for hubs and made our way to dahlia's house, for the bbq. as we arrived everyone was already there... :) sat and talked to miss nita, vijay, miss eliza, nurul, hadi, hani, jon, star...
cikz, you were really missed! miss miss you so so so so so much!! come back to malaysia say! seriously... you can live with me and hadi... ehhehe... we'll be the couch and tv partners!

we left the bbq pretty early, hubs had to attend a full day meeting and i was already feeling a bit under the weather! i wished i could have stayed longer.

guide for dummies - for us oblivious shoppers!

walked around the whole of curve, looking for the perfect baby gift for fiza and shamil since the girls was organizing their baby shower... as i walked and walked... entering and exiting from the shops i was thinking, "oh gosh, i'm in deep do-do! i have no idea what to get for them!" then i slowly browsed each item that was displayed on the shelves; from bottles, clothes, toys, mattress, bags and the list never ends, i couldn't decide. then my brother told me, about his theory... "if you have to look really hard or with an effort, then there's seriously nothing nice in the shop for you" although i hate to admit it, i think it's pretty true! damn it!

as soon as we stepped out from the shops, i told him seriously these shops should get a catalogue ready for "dummies"... the non mommies, those who would love to buy presents but needs the guidance, like "how to buy baby items for baby shower - for idiots!" i bet you those will work wonders!

finally, decided to just get vouchers from mothercare...

a little confession, i got all excited when i was browsing the clothes and baby stuff from mothercare, love the small tubs, bottles, and those little white cardigans... could this be a sign? am i looking forward to motherhood? hehe... *blushing* i went crazy reading all those cute t-shirts, one of it has this on it, "if attempt one doesn't work just cry, cry, cry and cry till you get it!" HOW CUTE!! maybe i should try, hopefully this works for adults too! hihi!

malacca

arrived in malacca by lunch time, it has changed tremendously! it has been what? approximately 3 years since i was there. wow, i was impressed...

checked into equitorial, and mind you the hotel there is a lot nicer than some hotels back here in kl. haha... was in malacca to accompany my dad for a medical check up. so i thought, why not i need the short break too! had lunch at the food court in makhota parade, and walked around for a while.. but i wasn't in the mood to buy anything for some apparent reason...

got back at the hotel and chilled out watched tv - a whole lot of ellen degeneres talk show and martha stewart, very informative, creative and entertaining. the view from the hotel was pretty spectacular, we could see that malacca had attempted a project similarly to the one in dubai, the palm... but of course it does not have the same appeal, but hey its a great improvement from the monotanous looks that we have here...

hubs joined us later as he was from JB, and then we dropped dad off to the hospital for a nights observation - doctor had to monitor his sleeping errr... habits? errr... i don't know the specific word for it but it has something to do with his blood sugar and how he gets disrupted and errr, well at least now you know i'd make a terrible doctor! haha can't comprehend the whole scientific terminology for it. that's why i'm a communication student :D

we had dinner at this restaurant called thai classic near the ayer keroh exit. yummmm. for those food enthusiast, you should give it a try and the price is reasonably cheap. the restaurant looks attractive, it has a lot of the malay element - wood with carvings and you even have a patio where you can sit "bersila" - its like eating at home or at a kampung house. i'd give the ambiance an 8/10 (at night). we really enjoyed the outing.

right after, we had a quick teh tarik in front of the equitorial hotel and i saw an interesting menu - roti canai with "kuah asam". so cool, you can only get this in malacca as they are known for the baba nyonya menu.

we should all make a trip there one of these days, it would be really fun!

too many things, too little time

today i was with chak going through what's important for her laptop, need to keep it updated before she leaves... so she came early in the morning and the first thing we did was to look for the codec for her wmp. seriously can't do much if you can't watch movies on your laptop! dang... added bits and pieces, series and music... til the both of us made synchronized music - no no we can't play any instruments, we were skilled enough to do it with our stomachs. haha that showed how hungry we were!

after months of not being in "baby" that's what she calls her car, finally i was able to sit in the "monster" that's what i call it now... the face lift and the color WOOHOO! it is just beeea-u-ti-fuuulll! we had lunch at chef & brew, not too bad and it wasn't too expensive. while i was there i received a call from dahlia, she said she was going to bangsar slightly later... so i told her i'd join her for coffee or something.

got home and watched ugly betty and desperate housewives, i seriously need to catch up with many more! grey's, entourage, l word, erghhh... too many shows too little time.

met dahlia at pelita bangsar with ayu and zain, it was fun listening to their conversations, arguments (when one is speaking, the other one is totally tempted to speak... so cute!) zain mentioned the places and countries he's been going to, which is so interesting! damn, i'm sooooo envious... hopefully, i'm just hoping that time permits for me and hubs to work, save money and travel too! my ideal plan...

got a call from my lecturer stating that my class was cancelled, heheh ya-beda-bedooo!! no need to rush!

had dins with in-laws @ delicious, and then met up with hadi, jon and hani at ss2... by the time we got there dahlia had already left... awww man... but we didn't stay there for long either. i think we get pretty exhausted really easily now days... yeah as hadi likes to say it, "kitakan dah tua, selalu nak balik awal, pastu tidur!" haha - bengong! can't help it seriously.

reunited

we were anxiously waiting by the hours, minutes and seconds for bani to return! as i woke up, i kept myself occupied with the garden, house, room, blog, you know the usual. then i sent a message to her, yeay she replied she was backkkkk! we decided to meet up for coffee at the curve, teh tarik place... pretty chilled out place seriously. love love the concept.

suppose to meet them by 3, woops my bad! i was running a little late. then i got a call from hadi, "eh wei, where are you?" i was like, "errrr, leaving my house now?" if only he could see my innocent face... well in reality it was more like the guilty look! haha, sorry peeps, seriously. anyway we rushed and hani calls me, told her to meet hadi there straight. parked the car which we were really fortunate with, we were just like 5 cars away from the entrance woohoo. talk about luck! on a busy working day. haha. anyway i was just happy that we got that, didn't want them to wait any longer, it was also raining cats and dogs that day... it was crazy!

walked straight to the place, and saw her awww... i was really happy and relieved! haha now hadi doesn't have to only bug me, he can bug her toooo... yeay i was released of my responsibilities. hahaha... kidding guys! anyway, sat and chat as usual, the fumbles and what not, i have decided that i do not and i repeat do not want to list down of any of our fumbles....

but only if i must! :)

dahlia and jon joined us too, sat and played you know that "what if game" but this time round it got more interesting and slightly serious.... but great nonetheless! we were there for almost 3 hours or so, then we wanted to walk around the curve to get some stuff and as usual we weren't that focused so we got something else instead! boohoo! zaireen joined us a couple of minutes before we left the table. so many things to talk about, so little time...

i'm just glad bani's back to entertain us! seriously, i think we overdosed on each other today, she hung out with us since tea til supper at 1:30 a.m. can you imagine, and she was there at the futsal place accompanying nana and myself! ehehe, happy doo dee!

w'end...

friday

had some friends over at my place on friday, cooked dins. well actually everything was unplanned. just wanted to spend some quality time with farah. we haven't done this for quite sometime, yes if i need to elaborate more about my relationship with her, well we've known each other for yonks, since we were 12. can you imagine? we've gone through a lot together! don't you think so babe? we've had our fare share of ups and downs, but that's all a part of friendship, and i have no regrets. i'm just glad we're here now, at this stage of our friendship. its healty, we don't have to see each other everyday nor every weekend, but when we do see each other its as though we did.

early in the morning i had a breakfast date with my mom, i decided to buy breakfast and just hang out with her before i did my grocery shopping. our usual activity is as soon as i get there she prepares some food for her to entertain her friends, and i'll be glad to assist her! this is the best way for me to learn from the best! and i kid you not, she's the best cook ever. we prepared quiche with mushrooms and pepperoni and shepherds pie. yumm... then she said since i helped her cook, we should make extra so i don't have to cook extra for dins. yeah kill two birds with one stone.

right after i was done there, i decided to stop by at tmc for extra ingredients to cook my mushroom soup, salmon pasta and steam veggies. not forgetting, i bought my fishes too! my guppy... i think that's how you spell it, like i mentioned in the earlier blogs, i started on my new project - the garden! yeay i got 6 of them, happily drove home, chucked everything else aside and made my way to the balcony to place the little fishies in their new home, the dark blue pot? bowl? ok i don't really know the right word for it. but hey it works for me.

cooked, chilled, giggled, talked, played board games, well... basically it was a pleasant eve for me, i enjoyed the company. hubs, bro, farah, hadi and jon.

saturday

woke up and started cleaning my kitchen, yes i'm a neat freak especially when it comes to my kitchen, the place where i find my sanity... haha, yes if you know me well enough when i get bored i cook, when i'm stressed out i cook, when i'm happy i cook, you can imagine then... i was pretty sad when i learnt that my microwave brokedown on me! boohoo!! now i have to spend on new microwave and oven. damn it! just what i need... more probs in the kitchen. okay okay i'm not going to dramatize it!?!? but i'm sure you can understand my frustrations.

anyway, we had lunch at the curve it was a pleasant one. mom joined us too. then we walked along the flee market, and i got a surprise call. it was NORA!! she's back, woo hooooooo. that made my day. then we dropped farah off at her office, came home rested and got ready for badminton... then met up with hadi at mohsin for a quick drink and headed back home. the day was kind of hectic for me but we met up with some friends after... it was pretty interesting towards the end of the night we started asking each other really mindless questions, it was fun!

1. if you had a choice of a celebrity to go out with who would it be?
2. if you had a million dollars what will be the first thing you would buy?
3. if you had a million dollars who will be the first person you'd give it to?

so far, that's all i can recall. haha. i know it's pathetic... but the conversations and answers we got were pretty interesting!

something new

was up by 6:30, the shower was unbearable although the water heater was on... it was about the rain outside, it made me want to crawl back under the sheets and get into a fetal position and sleep til the rain stopped. unfortunately we were expecting someone to come over early in the morning by 7, so yeah... i had to wake up and smell the coffee. up and about, made coffee and fried some fish fingers just in case the boys were hungry. well true enough, they were.

made our way to ipoh, had brunch at holly wood (it's how they spelt it!) hehe cute. right after we checked ourselves into zadey's - bungalow 7 (no, it's not similar to bungalow 8). anyway, right after we sorted our selves and stuff out, we left and ran errands... went to different government offices and what not to look for maps, and enquire bout some stuff. pretty fun but tiring. well i'm not directly involved in this project but i think the idea behind it is interesting and entertaining. so, insya'allah hopefully everything will work out in due time.

after running around and what not, we decided to have coffee at zadey's office. and yes, back to square one - it's difficult to go on a diet when you're in ipoh... it's not surprising anymore when you see an individual perpetually chewing on food! haha, and we were becoming one of those! damn...

passed by a couple of nurserys while we were there, well just in case you're wondering this is the nursery for plants, not kids ok? bout 4 pots for RM10, don't you think that's cheap? i loved it! and i got water lily too. headed back for zadey's, as we arrived he wasn't home yet. walked around his house and i got excited, i saw "biji saga" don't know if you're familiar with it or not, but i grew up collecting those! decided to pick some up for my sister and as we squatted zadey arrived haha, well yeah i wasn't embarrassed or anything i was just happy, it triggered my happy childhood memories...

i decided that i wanted to start a new project for my balcony. i think it needs life, and character... so tomorrows' plan would be to leave ipoh after breakfast and head straight for sungai buloh! can't wait.

the 8th of may - happy birthday d!

it'll be a couple of weeks til we get to see barrie again, so any opportunity we get to catch up, we will! anyway, since he's here for a couple of days, and he was pretty free today we decided to meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. @ dome klcc. haha, i know... what was i thinking right? going through the jam and all, but i must say it was fun. thought of staying in klcc longer, but we only managed to walk around to top shop which i must add, is having their mid sale now! damn damn damn...

well the reason for us going there wasn't for me... it was for miss d! its her birthday today, and i haven't got a clue on what to get for her... she's got tonnes of beautiful accessories, handbags and not forgetting shoes! am i right sweets? haha... anyway we just got her vouchers, i know it seems impersonal but i'd rather her get something she'd really like and wear... i know bani has already given you this but this wouldn't hurt right? it's just time consuming to pick the new item(s) that you might like...

in general...
have you been in one of those really awkward scenarios - you giving someone a present and you think you'd already made the best choice for that person? well i guess everyone of us have faced it before... the breakdown of the scenario:
"here you go, this is your gift! we hope you like it" (in all seriousness i hope you do, then you get that honest look on the recepients face which is extremely priceless), "ah... this... is... yeah nice. thanks you guys you didn't have to... no really..." TA DA! awkward scenario; i could go on and on, but you do get the jist right?

okay will update more, later! toodles!

t'was great catching up

last night after badminton, the initial plan was to go to mohsin. however zadey suggested that we had dinner at strawberry fields instead, he then picked liana up and made his way there. how tempting... hmmm... more choices for us, especially on the noodles section... the place is also known for their large portion of a dish and its relatively cheap prices. as we ordered we saw amir and aliza and yes of course we made extra space for them, (ah well according to hadi we made space to accomodate for aliza and not amir! haha - just kidding dude!) what a pleasant surprise.

as we sat through the dishes it was non stop marathon of conversations and laughters! it felt great, you know... just plain genuine fun... it's been a while since we've had that. everytime we meet there's always a future plan ahead, you know where's the best place to shop, where's the next hols location... it was fun, the ladies were getting all excited! hehe, yeah that's usually the case huh? we should plan another trip soon people! oh wait, when the time is right for everyone. ok...

its been a while

been missing badminton i tell you, and finally today hubs was able to play after his injury... however, the first game that we played (which we were struggling like crazy) was adek and i against iwan and hubs! haha, what were we thinking? then moved onto the second game... after 20 minutes, i couldn't really enjoy the games as it was too hot! there was no breeze, i felt suffocated sitting in the badminton hall!

made our move to ss2 for dins, met farah, my bro and hadi. i've not seen her for almost a month! miss you sweetie pie, we should plan for our next dins ok? and i'll organize it at my place. and we can chat and chat and chat like we love doing...

came home and watched pirates of the carribean 2 - half way... i'm seriously getting old and boring! we even discussed that about me during dinner, how i got myself all pumped up and ready to go clubbing, and then after waiting for an hour or so, i almost fell asleep on my couch. then i made the courtesy call to ask my friends to proceed! haha, how *effed up is that?

a lil gathering

by the time it was 8:30 p.m. i could hardly concentrate in my class. all i could think of what kind of food would they be serving at byrons. oh dear god, i was so hungry that i felt like i was shivering... okay okay, i must have embellished a little. but heck, i was soooo freaking hungry, i had 2 slices of bread and maggi for brunch, how sad is that?

walked quickly and as soon as i got into the car, i called hadi... needed to ask for directions. yeah i had asked wo earlier today but it was too confusing (but i remember the two bumps that you mentioned) haha, sorry babes. then i spoke to byron, he thought that we were from home, then i got a message, "you're not lost are you?" and byron called us back after 20 minutes, "hey are you guys on the right track? are you lost?" haha, how sweet. no we were not lost we were from kl, that's why it took us longer to get there.

arrived there and sat outside for a while for a quick chat and headed straight for the food! haha yeah, no manners huh? i was hungry, then hadi came to disturb me, told him lesson no. 1: never ever mess with a hungry woman! haha... lesson no. 2: let her enjoy your food, or you'll pay for the consequences! haha, well people, i'm not that scary. trust me.

food that they served: bbq chicken, fish/chicken ball, potato salad, lasagna, and ribs (those looked good, well unfortunately we couldn't eat it...)
byron's mom made this rockin' lasagna, so far the best ever that i have tasted. yum-yum!

sat, chatted, ate and had our ciggies and what not... so wanted to have a piece of that forbidden cake! it was untouched, some of us had been eyeing the cake ever since they got there. haha. then finally i got a piece of that sinful/creamy/moist/to die for cake! arrghhh... tempted to have a second slice, but i didn't want to seem like i was a pig. haha. so i stopped.

then d and star arrived... it was fun catching up. hadi showed us the video that jon's group directed for their movies class, oh my goodness these boys were crazy and it was hilarious i tell you. suggested that they put it on youtube... i hope they do.

somewhere between the meal, ciggies and drinks byron, hadi and i said that the only thing missing was "ulu to the bulu" haha. sorry babes, those were byron's exact words! we missed you.

i can't wait for the weekend to begin

after a crazy week, filled with last minute internship report and daily journal, it was so oh-not-funny! i've been complaining of back ache to the hadi's haha. well, hubs suggested that i just take the panadol, hadi jr. suggested that i try the stretching techniques that he taught hani and i. i tell you i would rather get a kicked on my a** than ever stretching like he did! bani's attempt was extremely adorable! haha... we did a small attempt together, and we looked retarded! (so thanks hadi, you made look so uncool, hahaha)

woke up early in the morning, to continue the daily log and after an hour i managed to complete it all! woo hoo, happy doo dee...

hmm, then i was kinda of bored.

so i started browsing the websites, i was just intrigued by http://www.timeoutdubai.com - i was checking out that restaurant called al-muntaha, in al-burj - wow! i nearly choked! for a couple to eat there it'll cost us at most AED1,300 and yes if you were to convert it, its one-to-one, well plus minus one ringgit here and there. well, if i had a lot of cash and i'm in my oh-so-not-thinking-straight mood i'd like to give it a try (mind you like to, doesn't mean i have to). clicked on tickets, and aerosmith's picture appeared under spotlight. yeehaw, they're performing on the 31st of May (i'm so tempted to go, will check if hubs is up for it!)... secrectly wishing he would. viewed the sitting arrangements - i think i will have to take the cheapest - regular standing. dang, its crazy expensive, the cage standing - god knows what that is... its AED 995... (blegh, boohoo then).

well that pretty much was a mood altering thing. so i decided to get ready and drive to college to send in my internship report...

din*din

its been a mind boggling day! i needed to recall/recap all that i have done during my internship program. so can you imagine, i was glued to the laptop from 9 a.m. til 6 p.m. eh, its as though i was working in the office too! (to those who's planning to do their internship program, i highly recommend that you keep a small journal with you, so that you don't have to suffer like i do - its worse when you have STML!)

hani came by 6:30 p.m. then is when i decided that if i don't stop now, i might get cock-eyed from staring at the screen far too long. waited for hubs, and then we made our move... we were suppose to pick, well hani was suppose to pick hadi and jon from byrons, but the terrible horrible jam was unbearable! so i made the courtesy call and asked the boys to drive themselves there.

got there bout 8 ++, and d had called while we were on the way. ordered our food and chatted then d had arrived with vj, nita, and miss eliza. its been a while since we last saw them, it was pretty fun. vj was highly sensitive tonight, which was hilarious... and everyone was talking and laughing bout miss bani and mr bravo! ahah, sorry babes... i decided to brog (blog being the original word) bout it. well promise won't go into details ok? you having fun yet in brisbane without us?

the food at bb thai was quite yummylicious, and they weren't that expensive. well its the average price that you pay in kl neways. towards the end of the event, everyone wanted to choose a place for the hols, perhentian, penang, melaka, kuantan... terengganu and bits and pieces bout the 'middle earth' hey the game was pretty fun we were naming each state and we were quite good with geography. who would have thought?

well, i would suggest that we go to sekeping serendah, its just an hours drive from here. but be prepared to not have any phone reception, no tv, radio and all... it'll just be noises from each one of us chatter box/boxes!

check out the website: http://www.serendah.com

time

my-oh-my, i don't have a lot of time to blog today. its seriously frustrating, i need more time... just finished my internship report and now i have to start working on my daily log. yes i know it's lame but i can't help it seriously. just looking forward to coffee later and dinner afterwards.
sob-sob, wish i could get an extension on my report, but then i'll procrastinate again, you see the dilemma that i'm in? sheesh, i need a long break. i do, i do, eh just belief me when i say i do ok!

m.j - damsel in distress & mr. pecker (oops, sorry peter)

spiderman 3

managed to catch spiderman 3 this morning bout 11:00 a.m... well, nothing much to shout about this time round, honestly. well yeah aside from the old characters reuniting, peter has to strike a balance out between m.j and his responsibilities as the mayor of the town, or so he says.

spidey and his black costume... hah, i find that he was rather annoying when the suit took control of peter and spiderman bringing out the alter ego/the darker side of him. nothing annoying about the suit though it looked good and classy. haha, yeah trust a girl to judge these things. well under the influence of the suit, peter neglects those he cares about and he starts getting a whole lot of attention (for a geek), and he became over confident. he also came across two new villain - sandman and venom. and then ladies and gents we're back to square one - the damsel in distress makes her appearance again. well, its a vicious cycle or rather a cliche one? which ever you decide when you watch it.

...hoping for the best

days are filled with plans - meeting up with friends, trying to complete my report, catch a movie, have coffee, see my parents, meet my in laws... ouch! its a lot to do in a day. but somehow we manage.

i think these past few days has been filled with emotional turmoil and roller coaster ride for some of us. its been quite crazy, so many has happened in such a short period of time... although i wish it didn't, but it did. what has been done cannot be undone. darling if you do read this... only time can tell and heal. just hang in there, as we'll be here for you.

song of the day: feist - lonely lonely
mood: blegh - is there such? (i'd like to think so)
