know the virtues of pregnancy?

well to be honest i have always known that it is really a big thing in islam, to be pregnant... but knowing its significance is really satisfying... all i can say and do is feel extremely grateful, alhamdulillah for our rezeki.

came across this website, it was really liberating to know each and every point of it!

· When a woman is pregnant with a child, all the angels will make Istighfar (repentance) on her behalf. Allah SWT will, for each day of her pregnancy, write for her 1000 good deeds and erase from her 1000 bad deeds.

· When a pregnant woman starts to feel the pain from contractions, Allah SWT will write in her records as someone who is doing jihad (spiritual or physical struggle) in His path.

· When a woman becomes pregnant by her husband and he is pleased with her, she obtains the reward of a person engaging in fasting for Allah SWT and a person spending the night in ibaadah (worship).

· A woman from the time of pregnancy until childbirth and weaning the baby, is like the Mujahid (someone fighting in the path of Allah, swa) who is stationed on the frontiers of the Islamic land. If she dies during this period, she dies the death of a shahid (martyr).

· Two raka'at salaat performed by a pregnant woman is better than 80 raka'at salaat performed by a non-pregnant woman.

· A woman who is pregnant gets the reward of fasting during the day and of doing ibaadah (worship) during the nights.

· A woman who gives birth gets the reward of 70 years of salaat (prayer) and fasting. For each vein that feels pain, Allah SWT gives her the reward of one accepted hajj (Pilgrimage to Makkah).

· If the woman dies within 40 days of giving birth, she will die as a shahid (matyr).
(Hadith)......."A woman that dies in her virginity or during her pregnancy or at the time of birth or thereafter (in nifaas) will attain the rank of a martyr"

Nabi(SAW) is reported to have also said ".......When her labour pains commence, the inhabitants of the earth and the sky are unaware of the stores of comfort that are prepared for her. When she delivers and breast feeds her child, then she will be granted a reword for every gulp of milk, if she had to remain awake during the night for the sake of the child, she will receive the reword of emancipating seventy slaves in the path of Allah Ta'ala. O Salaamat! Do you know who these women are? They are pious, upright, with a delicate nature yet obedient to their husbands and not ungrateful to them"

sat 14/06

looking forward for tea session with friends at delicious bangsar, have not seen some of them for the last 7 months! talk about lama gila laa kan?!!

finally when we arrived some of them was already there, we just sat and chatted and tried to catch up and fill each other in with the happs in our lives for the last 7 months stuff!! hehe... it was a bit on the 'semua berlumba bercakap' but it was fun.

rini brought leni today, she's such a big girl already! i could not believe my eyes!! seriously, and she can count 1-5 already... that's really great, big achievement for a little girl...

finally from tea, we carried on with dins there aswell. i was tired and didn't want to cook at home so i guess best i just eat there.

on the way home, another friend called, since we were not at home yet we decided to meet him at centre point for drinks, then at 930p.m got home and crashed! cause i was out from 1p.m, talk about being out that long, gila k!! penat...

sun 15/06

"happy fatherssss day" to all fathers and the expecting ones :D especially to my hub-bubs!
got ready and met up with me parents at jaya 33, they wanted to eat and reminisce at their old favourite restaurant called cozy corner.

it was a pleasant lunch session with them, dad said that it doesn't have to be a special day to celebrate fathers day, cause he feels that everyday.... awwwww... sweetkan? nasib tak nangis!
dah la hormones ni tengah haywire!

got home, the electricians arrived... they sorted out the office and some other stuff in the house... we're prepping it before we get the maid and the arrival of our baby girl!!

then headed straight to bangsar for our weekly routine, foot massage at sifu! ahhh blissful 1 hour massage, i just love it.

made our way to the social to meet up with the guys there, then lepak had a drink and headed straight to the pasar malam, as i mentioned in my last couple of blogs - not craving but cravings! i managed to try it all.... yippeee dooo deeee!!

asam laksa - goood
carrot cake - goood
apam balik - yumsss
air mata kucing - was the bomb!

i don't know if its normal or what? but everytime i see a little girl or boy walking or eating with their parents i catch my self staring and constantly talking about how cute they are, or tak tahan, i feel like biting them or something!?!

what is wrong with me??

seriously, do i sound like those crazy-vicious-stalker?

hmm, now i'm worried.

moving to my 7th! (28 weeks)

woke up early today, eager to go to the docs! just need to know the progress of the baby... got there waited a while, and entered the room... first things first, they check your weight and so far i've accumulated 5kgs!! hehe, yes yes call me gendut/buncit/mak buyong etc.

then we scanned the little girl, doc said she was in a good position, she's pretty active! i know as we were scanning she gave us both a good kick! she said, "morning mama, and doctor kamaljit! what you guys up to? peeping on me again?" got her weight aswell, she's exactly 1kg as of today!growing at a normal rate.

again i asked my doc, is my perut too small? she was like, told you we're not really keen on big mommies right? that's better cause hopefully we'll have less complications! *insyallah* then she said, well by the end of the 9th month, since we're opting for natural birth, with the size of the baby you might not even need epidural! wow such a great compliment, but i think i'd pass on going through the pain k!! hehe... hopefully there's room for discussion...

haii-yakkk!

last night we were pretty free, so i thought what the heck let's catch a movie instead of sitting and moping not knowing what to do, so hubs agreed!

decided not to catch anything serious, you know some brainless movie so yeah we settled for Kung Fu Panda!

it was worth it! its hilarious and the jokes are not the same ones that you're used to... it was non stop laughing for the both of us.

highly recommended when you're having one of those terrible days!! fun fun fun...

hubs had one of those impulse buying mode on, which i think he felt guilty on, but nothing a girl can't say to make him feel better :) you can always trust girls to do their job well... hehe...

not craving, its cravings!

early in the morning i was trying to figure out whether should i cook, or wait for hubs to wake up and go for bfast... then my stomach started growling and baby started kicking, think she's trying to say, "mommy, hurry up please i haven't got all day to wait for food!!" so drove out, and headed to one of the shops near the house, thank god they decided to open a halal malay restaurant. not that i'm trying to sound racists or anything, but they seem to cater food that's only non-halal!

then after that started doing some work, and talked to a couple of friends on msn!

got ready and head straight to bangsar village only to park the car! as usual our weekend routine is to get an hour of good foot massage at 'sifu'! and today we decided to take the package, we each got an hour an a half foot massage, ahhh subliminal! gila best and its such a great way to treat your self.

we still had 45 minutes to kill before the baby shower, so we walked around bv and then headed towards the pasar malam. bumped into my good friend jen, told her i was going to my 7th and she said "sure or not? woman if you didn't mention it to me, i tak perasan la you preggers!" then i said either people think i'm pregnant or really buncit or boroi laaa... hehe...

back at the pasar malam - i was reunited with all my fav old stores!! however we were a wee bit too early, they were just sorting out their stalls! damn it, or else i could have my apam balik, carrot cake, kuey teow goreng, asam laksa... etc! haha of course not in one sitting, i won't use my excuse of being pregnant... but we did have the air mata kuching, one of the best thirst quencher!

left feeling a bit disappointed, so wanted to have all the listed food... nvm will wait for next sunday, i'll have the whole week to kumpul my victims to makan with me... well people keep asking have you had any craving so far? can't think of anything specific, but if i do see it then i'll ask for it... like the long list i have now.

was at niney's baby shower for an hour or so, chatted, ate, drank, laughed a little... then we left... all in all everything we did today was really pleasant...

home, rested and continuing on the proposal... which i should be doing right about nowww... til then, toodles!

spur of the moment

i guess it makes a difference when you establish your office at home, you can't seem to put work off even on a saturday morning... as we woke up we couldn't help it but to rush through some of the important documents, and submit some of the quotes promised to our clients!

haha, yes konon-nye kita ni extremely hard working!

anyway after that, we headed straight to kanaa curry house to meet up with some friends for brunch! i was excited cause my girl friend brought her adorable baby girl rania!! woo-pee-doo-dee! she's so adorable and by far the quietest baby ever. i so love love her, its easy to entertain her...

well after the scrumptuous brunch, we were headed to one utama... or at least hubs thought we were. hehe, till i suggested other wise! i was eager to check out the store that liana had mention to me yesterday, she said her friend told her that they had great options when it came to strollers, a shop near atria... so i suggested to hubs! and straight away we headed there... a couple of rounds outside, the shop was no where to be seen.

he suggested best we park the car since we were there and just 'serbu' atria itself. up the escalators we went, and hooray!! we finally saw it, i was feeling extremely excited the baby shop is gigantic!! filled with toys, maternity clothes, strollers, cotbeds, and many many moreee... shops called Planete Enfants, its the same one as in BSC but this place is gigantic like i said earlier...

we walked and talked, tested a couple of the strollers, tried to look and sound smart as proud parents to be... only to learn that we have a lot to learn from others! hahaha... checked out the maxi cosi stroller, looks pretty cool and price was really reasonable, but somehow the seat looked unstable, so we changed our minds... then the sales lady was nice enough to ask what exactly we were looking for, then i said for now we just want to make sure we have a good and comfortable stroller for the baby from age 0-4 yrs old, and she suggested to us to take a look at the peg-perego! WOW, it was like love at first sight... heheh...

we're pretty fortunate that a girl friend is nice enough to loan us her car sear/carrier! so that's pretty much solved already... so now all we had to do was make our mind up about which stroller to buy... and so we did, we purchased it without any regrets! :D alhamdulillah...

satisfied mommy and daddy, left with a big smile on their faces.

wow

i just checked out this website called babyzone.com only to learn that i actually have approximately 95 days before i give birth!

also installed the baby calendar! i think it's cute with little suggestions on how to ease any pain if there's any...

highly recommended to all future mommies!

it all happened way too fast!

since we have all been so oblivious in our own lives, past few days when my friend called he said, hey you heard they're going to increase the petrol price? i said yeah, read the article but i thought it was going to be implemented only in august? he said, nah just heard it on the radio that they're going to increase it up to 40%! then i managed to say this, ehhh you gila ke? that's a lot?!! i don't think so you heard the announcement properly...

now... padan muka sendiri! haha... seriously it really did happen! all the petrol stations on wednesday night was packed, as in jammed packed! it took me almost an hour to get to my parents from segambut! tsk tsk tsk... it was madness i tell you.

well looking at it, there's no one to blame for the price being hiked up to RM2.7o we're affected globally! the price per barrel is already USD13o, and according to the article if the govt were to subsidise it would cost the RM52b! just imagine, and if that were to happen, the income tax would be higher, and this would definitely cause another stir in the country... still can't please everyone... no matter what the decision is... people would still voice out that they are unsatisfied by certain decisions...

oh well... i guess many are looking for different alternatives now... like riding a scooter? but government is pretty concern about the possibility of highten road accidents! too many predicaments!

i guess at the end of the day we just have to live with it... no amount of protests will change anything...

my hero!

michael patrick king, a director who manages to get us totally involved with characters from sex and the city!

as i was browsing through the channels earlier, i was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of how the movie is going to be, my fav ladies and their respective men are back! woohoo...

that got me really excited. i can't wait to see their extremely extravagant wardrobes for this movie, apparently they have bolder shoes and tinier handbags or more like clutches, thanks to pat! she's extremely fabulous but on the eccentric side... hehe... but you have to admit the character fits so well with each of their wardrobes... it is as though the wardrobes speaks to you too!

apparently they're already showing in singapore and as i just last checked on gsc, we're only lucky enough to get it by july!! damn it. anyhoo, i'm still excited...
