after months and months of not seeing a friend, we finally met up last sunday... were suppose to meet him and his wife, but she wasn't well; so she sent her representative - her younger brother and husband. i find it amusing everytime i refer him, as someones husband :) and proud nonetheless.
so after catching up and all. we decided to have dinner at his apartment yesterday, he wanted us to introduce him to our little bub and us to his lovely wife.
we arrived at his apartment by 8p.m. and was brought up by one of his colleagues. we were in awe... my jaw was constantly opened. wow! that apartment was extremely beautiful! it had that hotel feel to it. so chic.
finally, they arrived after their studio photo shoot session, and we started eating dins! he greeted and spoke to the little one, and said "uncle sorry ok aira, i was suppose to see you since you were born, but i'll make it up to you ok?" then called his wife, she came over and handed aira her gift. didn't know what it was... she said to put it in my handbag... so i did...
a friend told us they ordered food, but i didn't know they were going to order EVERYTHING off the MENU! we had 2 steam fish, 2 deep fried fish, deep fried squid with salted eggs, black pepper beef, chicken with dried chillies, kangkung belacan, fried asparagus, err... err... i think i'm forgetting a couple of other dishes! seriously... but thank god, dinner was for approximately for the 12 of us! hehe... here we thought it was just going to be the 6 of us; but it was fun though...
then after lepaking, catching up, laughing, eating... and much of eye rubbing from aira, we had no choice but to leave.
finally when we got home, and checked the present...
another jaw dropping moment!
let's just say, we could get aira a ticket to bali and she's able to go on a shopping spree. alhamdulillah.
thank you so much uncle haidar & auntie ameera @ encee!
i would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the both of you, and may your blessed union be blessed by the Almighty filled with joy and happiness!

greatest gift
i know we don't celebrate christmas, but we just got the best gift or shall i say gifts for the eve:
- we had our scrumptious dinner packed from ss2 (pan mee and kam heong chicken) - sorry if you were expecting - turkey & stuffing with mash potatoes :P
- while eating we were watching our fav show - anthony bourdain
- fed and played with the little one, sounds ordinary eh? aira was giggling and in her joyful mood for at least 5 minutes. that is seriously priceless!
the best day so far for the month of december....

today
i think every couple who is planning to get married, should have a wedding registry! i know its not in our culture, but it makes it so much more convenient, and i think our generation is able to accept it, no?
it sure beats the hours you spend, walking around the shopping mall trying to figure out what in whole wide world would be that 'special gift' for your friends! dang, and what if you think its special and to them its just an ordinary thing?
like the last wedding we attended we asked the bride and groom directly, what they'd actually preferred, gifts or cash? up front they said they preferred cash. easy peasy.
yeap, its that time of the month again, when your schedule is filled with wedding bells! so this weekend, i will be busy walking around the shopping mall, figuring out what to buy. blegh.
seriously, its nice to go get your registry up! i did mine in metrojaya, it was so so fun, all you gotta do is just point out the items you want, and the personal shopper would jot it down in your list.

yesterday we brought aira out, i'm so liking the christmas deco at all the malls, filled with beautiful fairy lights, glitters, colorful decos and all... haa... she likes it too!
*oh, just a heads up, to the food lovers! there's a tiny shop in OU (called Molten LAVA - near cold storage), that sells CHURROS, and yes they're delicious and pretty cheap - 4 sticks of cinnamon sugar, is only RM4++ and believe me, you... its scrumptious!*
we'll be attending a post-thanksgiving party this sunday, i think bringing a cheese platter would suffice! i wouldn't know what else to bring... plus i don't have a lot of free time to cook now, let alone bake.
eid adha is on monday, so looking forward to eating my moms food, last raya i was still in confinement, can you imagine i was totally tortured! everyone was enjoying the raya food, while i was drooling, looking at others enjoying it... its payback time! i'm so gonna SPLURGE! slurp, slurp, slurp. chup, i can't slurp the rendang, but i'm hoping i could at least eat the lontong and soto!
aira will be turning 3 months old then, how time flies huh? before you even know it, my daughter will be able to sit down and enjoy her meal with us... i so can't wait for that!!
thank god, today is a better day for me... hoping for a lovely weekend too.
