happy as a hippo...

been rather busy over the weekend, and this week... that's why i haven't been as active with updating the blog. so sue me!

saturday we had a long day, hubs, aira and i... poor baby it was one of her first few long outings!

a group of friends decided to meet up after a dear friend who we have not seen for almost 5 months, imagine the amount of stories and gossips had to be shared between all of us! basically we were rushing to talk and chat.

company was good, food was extra delicious cause you were sharing it with the loved ones, weather was good it wasn't hot, everything was just lovely, except for minor glitches here and there... i think dahl would know what i'm referring to!

after the whole hoo-haa @ delicious, we left and headed straight for a friends open house in kota damansara. wow, talk about being done with confinement, there's just no holding back! but i've been good and bored at the same time, can't blame me! seriously.

by the time we got home it was 1030 p.m. i felt so guilty for taking the little one for far too long! felt like i was a terrible mother, but i think there's a blessing in disguise - she quickly adapted to a new cycle, whereby she sleeps at 1 a.m. and wakes up at 6 a.m. allowing me to sleep for 5 hours! whoo-pee-doo-dee! *so so happy, happy as a hippo!*

hope this carries on throughout the next few months! like i said, "one can only hope..."

a treat

yesterday was a great day for me! mom came over around 11 a.m with the confinement lady, but it was a double treat, not only she's good at massaging and all she also works in a saloon! so they brought all their goodies to groom me up yesterday.

hah, what a treat.

while i was getting my hair and massage done, mom took care of the little chubster! really thankful for that. we spent the whole day together talking and gossiping bout the fam - as in uncles and aunties, updating each other on our daily routines, work, movies, music and etc.

later we met a girl friend of mine to pick up aira's new set of pampers, hehe... we cheated and called the distributor straight by-passing the middle person, therefore its wayyyyy cheaper! she's looking all good after 2 months giving birth, she did not look like she was even pregnant! how fortunate. i also introduced her to my little bub then :) can't wait to meet hers!

today i learned something new of the little one, she loves to talk! (apparently this is only obvious in their 2nd month, but my little one just likes expediting her process of growing up!) we both spoke 'monkey' you know... she pretended like she understood what i was saying and vice versa. i loved hearing her 'manja' voice its so adorable and irresistable! ergh, geram!!

the best part of the day was that when hubs walked into the room, she had the biggest smile, acknowledging her daddy! such a wonderful sight. i love.

yesterday alhamdulillah, the small kenduri doa selamat + cukur jambul was successfully fulfilled by us for baby aira! even though there was so many glitch in the matrix, i shall abstain from saying anything as i have mentioned to some there's always a blessing in disguise and we still managed to proceed with it. if you'd like to know slightly more, you can read aira's blog.

hubs and i were extremely pleased yesterday, many people turned up and there was plenty of food and we got to spend time with the loved ones... also the little one was able to see *more like her aunties and uncles managed to see her, cause she was just a happy little sleeper!

they all surrounded her, talked loudly, laughed, screamed, sat on the bed and made it all wobbly and all, still didn't matter to her... she just kept on sleeping and sleeping... which we were really pleased with!

last night, after a long day for all of us, i managed to get 2 hours sleep from 11-1 a.m. and managed to deal with my night shift from 1-2 a.m then she woke up again at 230-530 a.m then straight til 8 a.m so i managed to slot in a couple of hours of sleep here and there, which wasn't so bad!

quick updates

my little girl is a month old today, aside from that there's nothing much to update.

however, this news really somewhat broke my heart! boo.


my fav dance actor channing tatum (he-is-just-oh-so-smokin'-hot) is to be married to his girl friend jenna dewan. damn it. there goes my chance to woo him. hee.

i know, i know, fat chance. but like i always say, one can always hope. never mind, i still have my jude law in mind!

almost up!

yeay! it's almost a month since we've had the little chubster! to be exact the 30th day would be on wednesday. mom told me she wanted to drop by on wednesday and bring my masseuse lady with her! hooray, such a treat. not forgetting she wants us to change the air con to 2Hp cause she's worried the little one might be feeling too warm in our room.

mom's also been planning for the kenduri doa selamat + tahlil + cukur jambul, which i'm totally clueless about. really don't know what to expect and all.

i just can't wait for my confinement to be over, but i would have about 2 weeks more to go, mom wants me to complete 44 days! erghhhh... first things first, i'm going to have a whole big gulp of coke for my self as soon as its OVAH!! wee, can't wait.

oh yeah another new thing, decided to create aira's own blog. for those interested click here. however, i'm not really happy with the template - its a little scary for a little girls background, will have to look for more! til then...

did i tell you that i was totally in love?

well, you see one is with the man who is holding my beautiful daughter and the other is the one in his arm! am totally in love with my family, couldn't ask for any better. alhamdulillah, i'm blessed to celebrate my eid with them... amin.


our first quiet raya together as a family. as i was at my parents place, i was just thinking to myself, good lord i usually take it for granted that i could always have the special food on raya at anytime! little did i know i was going to miss it like crazy. padan muka, usually i'm the one who always jual mahal when it comes to rendang, now that i can't have it and its right in front of me, its frustrating. ah well... such is life.

i would like to take this opportunity to ask for forgiveness from the bottom of my heart if i have offended you in anyway possible. not my intentions to. sometimes i over look things. forgive me from all my sins.

many came to visit the little bubs today, how fortunate of her. but we were extremely exhausted! hehe.. especially when we got home, i felt like i haven't slept in days! haha... which is tiny bit true.

anyway, the second day of raya is good for me too. as i'm blogging i heard my cat and her little kittens miewing! yeay! she finally delivered :) hmm.. wonder if that makes me a young grandma? tee hee. doesn't matter i'm still happy!
