friday - hubs' birthday!

the anticipation kicked in early in the morning. however, both of us took our time to get ready and head for traders hotel. infact, we finished playing a game of scrabulous on facebook first, only then we decided to pack our bags and get ready.

hubs was kept in the dark bout the whole thinga-mag-jigg. so it was cool.

arrived at the traders, checked in, and we took the buggy to klcc! hehe, yes i know its a walking distance but i could not resist sitting on one of those, and so we did.

we had our lunch in spring garden, it felt really great, it was just the two of us and it felt like we were on a date! well, at least i really enjoyed it. then we were in kinokuniya, oh gosh, its not safe going to kino... no no not in terms of security reasons, in terms of spending your money reasons! its rather difficult not to buy any books from there. so we splurged.

we made our way back to the hotel, walked along the park. we had fun, we held hands, and laughed out loud, not caring about people around us, and then suddenly, i remembered... "oh god forbid that we show any kind of affection towards each other, a couple of years back... the non malay couple was given a summon for receiving a kiss on the forehead for indecent act in public" what nonsense is that?!

took pictures. laughed. i was singing. he was laughing at me and my stupidity. we were happy.

he was still kept in the dark about tonight.

received a couple of phone calls. booking was confirmed. a couple of lies here and there and it was good to go.

got ready for dins at GOBO, had our starters to share, the wagyu beef, then we had the venison pasta, yums! yes it was finger licking good.

more lies. he was deceived. more calls. i pretended. then we made our way to skybar at 10p.m.

amir and aliza was there, and then the rest walked in right after... he was surprised, i was thrilled. birthday cake arrived, friends sat down, chatted, laughed the night away. it was pleasant.

there was very few of us there, but it was those that was close to his heart; "friends who was there through thick and thin, those who stood by you... no matter what, those who supported you despite wrong or right, those who you, live by... those that you realize you'd want to grow old with... no explanations needed or required..."

C.S. Lewis:
Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You, too? Thought I was the only one."
