baker to driver

initially i was suppose to bake. as soon as i saw mom, which she was almost driven up the wall, i emphatized. so i offered, okay instead of baking today i'll help you out with work okay? and so i left all the ingredients, and started on sorting out the paperwork for her.

(okay, task done)

left the house to central, sorted some tickets/boardingpass and claims. off to tmc, since we wanted to get more ingredients *being extremely ambitious to bake other type of cookies, hopefully we can get at least 4 types of cookies done by this weekend, then i'll definitely tutup kedai. every weekend i smell of the dough. sweet, but i'd rather smell of perfumes, know what i mean?

back to tmc, grabbed our stuff and we were out from there after 45 minutes. queued up, waited at the cashier and an incident occured.

we had loads to pay and pack, so mom decided to pack the groceries herself, and dumped it onto the next counter since it wasn't opened. then a man appeared as soon as they opened the counter, so mom 'dengan terkial-kial' lifted those plastic bags, and the man started putting his items after the scanning machine, little did she know she was getting into a lot of trouble for passing a quick remark!

cashier: en. tolong jangan taruk ini barang after the scanner... (in a rather harsh tone)

man: AKU TAU LA!! kau ingat aku bodoh ke? tak nampak ke tadi ada plastic bag kat sini semua?

cashier: embarassed, and smiled

man: kau ni buat aku marah je, kenapa la kau nak buat statement yang membengangkan aku. dahlah aku ni puasa, ish bodoh betul la amoi ni! bangang, bodoh, bahlul! tengok, kan dah aku mengamuk kat sini!!
......

man, again: nasib baik kau ni perempuan!! kalau tak memang aku boleh bunuh kau! bangang sial punya perempuan.

me/mom: looked confused, and refused to say anything... i just wanted to pay and get the hell away from that "scene". gila scary.

man: eh amoi, lain kali cakap baik-baiklah dengan orang, kau ingat semua orang ni tak pandai ke? bodoh ke?

cashier: smiled, dying of embarrasment i guess.

me: tsk, tsk, tsk (in my heart, he seriously just better "buka puasa" all together) "saya tau lah abang ni lapar, but tak payah lah maki hamun orang macam tu..."

(don't worry, i had this conversation played in my head... i did not want to see the outcome of me passing a quick remark to this man... i do not want to be the next batch of minced meat in the supermarket)

mom: minta maaf banyak-banyak la cik, barang saya kat situ tadi...

man: tak, it's not your fault, salah dia ni bodoh sangat!

us: walked away in disbelief...

then mom laughed, asked her why... she said he was like the male version of her in certain situations (trust me mom, you're nothing like that!!)

anyway, right after we made our way back to p.j. to the baking shop, sorted out some stuff and dropped the rest back in ss1. then, off to hyatt in subang... to drop off some tickets.

then... made our way back to central again to collect the claims, and back to federal hill. wow! it was seriously tiring, but at least i got entertained while we went grocery shopping. i don't know how can one person, be so angry towards another to take it to that level. yes, i know i could be just as cruel, but i think i still have a little compassion for the other party, unless that person kurang ajar gila laah!

hmm... any of you witness such cruelty before? or been the "cruel party" for once? feel like sharing? do drop a line or two!

i have come to a conclusion, i have more patience on baking then driving, today i almost lost my patience and started cursing while fasting... tsk tsk tsk... i think at most in a day i should only drive for an hour, tops!
