why is there too many uncertainties in your life?
sometimes i wish i lived live like a puppet...
it would be a lot easier but mundane.
why are there always misunderstandings?
sometimes i think its better just to let things go
rather than you provoking it all the time.
why is it so hard to trust someone?
sometimes i think its a defense mechanism
its convenient to just blame the other person
why do you think you behave in that manner?
some people say its your up bringing
its just bad manners
why are we always asking questions?
when we already know the answers...
just stop wondering, and confront it

wild afternoon with wild hogs
"a lot can happen on the road to no where"...
been doing work in the morning and hubs was running around. just decided to grab a quick bite at the curve and then we walked over to cineleisure for an impromtu movie.
wild hogs well worth the time when you want a mindless movie. finally got the popcorn that i have been craving for. been doing my internship report and it feels like it has taken forever. thank god for the 4 comedians (tim allen, john travolta, martin lawrence and william h) in wild hogs, they were seriously out of their minds...
it would be nice, to just pack your bags and drive, leave everything behind and not tell anyone.
outing... oh wait, outings
saturday - 28.04.2007
everyone looks forward to a great weekend, of course not those mundane weekends. mine was hectic, but i enjoyed it nonetheless. spent quality time with mom in bangsar village, no intentions of shopping but that went down the drain. dang! don't blame me, blame those extremely fabulous clothes hung by a guy named derrick the buyer of triBeCa. he had the 'eye' for it, i fell in love. imagine your cupboard filled with those hot looking dresses that you see carrie bradshaw wears in sex and the city... the slippers that was displayed was trendy, not forgetting the accessories too! they had some from mumbai - you can imagine those bright colored stones from white to shocking pink! then he picked out other accessories from germany and i must tell you its tasteful. do check them out! done with that.
met some friends for coffee - hani, hadi, byron, felicia, john and dahlia at bayu timor, everyone came about the same time. sat chatted, fumbled, waited, ordered, and left. after long discussions of where we wanted to head for dinner, they decided to eat at fatty crab. after a fast drive-by we changed our minds and headed for ss2 mamak. bro, nana, izham and malik joined us for a quick bite. then headed back to my place.
nana, izham, hani and hadi - just chilled and talked till 3 a.m. we were also looking at the wedding photos... what a great laugh we had. hani bani i know you're going to miss us too! trust me on that. pass 2 a.m. hani and hadi went all crazy and they started showing each other on what is the best way to stretch and dance. i was laughing so freaking hard and non-stop. maybe that is why i got sick yesterday - and hadi no its not because i missed you guys ok! haha.
i shall end the blog with the blonde instances:
the brownies is Rish! instead of rich!
toray - let's meet up today...
if i were to die tomorrow would you cry at my wedding? (what the??)
which hero character would you want to be? Nathran (combination of Nathan & Peter)
they are going to do a movies...
as you can see that we like to combine our words, the singular and plural grammar is totally mixed up and wrong. it will be totally wrong for you to learn english from us, but just in case you're interested, leave a message and we'll get back to you.
oh yeah, if you're trying to make sense out of our outings, don't it'll only give you migrane. even we stopped... trying to make sense that is.

a series of unfortunate events... not by lemony snicket
like the island the Baudelaire orphans find in The End, this story is plagued by no villain, but victims of mishaps, and littered information that will make you weep, and wonder what if that was me? except for my version is not in the island, and there were no Baudelaire orphans... and no villain.
ipoh, 25th April would be a day to remember. woke up early, felt happy and looking forward to what the day has to offer. we got ready, as zadey was already waiting for us to go for breakfast. as i was about to step out of the bedroom, heard a loud thud and next thing i knew hubs had extremely deep cuts on his back, blood were dripping or more like it flowed with the water and i felt all nauseous. he got ready, and we headed straight for the clinic. as we were waiting at clinic che'wan, the doctor informed me that hubs had to get stitched as the cuts were pretty deep. the smell of medicine and the environment made me feel sick to my stomach. according to hubs this was quite common. when he came out he told us that we had to wait a while longer til the doctor manages to check the x-ray, just in case if there was a fracture or some sort. waiting in agony, doctor said he was fine and that he got himself 15 stitches. zadey was extremely accommodating, and trying to get me to calm down. i was calm right? wasn't i? (ah well, maybe i looked nervous as hell).
as mentioned in the earlier blogs, hubs was extremely looking forward to playing badminton there, unfortunately this had to happen. had breakfast at hollywood, the usual spot zadey goes to for his breakfast, highly recommended to all. must admit there's nothing much to look at if you're one of those hoity-toity peeps, then don't bother... but the food they have to offer is worth it. zadey sent us back home right after, and he left for work and ran some errands.
did the usual stuff at home, relaxed and watched tv. later around 5 we felt kind of hungry, so we drove to the mc donalds drive thru. on the way we spoke to zadey and said this was just a temporary food ya, we're going out for dins. hubs had to eat his antibiotics and what not. got home as we were munching, iwan joined us. we were waiting for american idol to start... as the nuggets finished the boys munched on this heavenly brownies that i got from miss hani bani. thank you so much yang, but honestly its not good for me to bring it around! lady is brilliant, she cuts those brownies into bite pieces which makes you feel that you hadn't had much without realizing it you're onto your 4th piece!
after american idol, we decided to go for dinner in 1 car. we stood outside waited for zadey, as soon as he stepped out and locked the door, i looked at him and asked, "hey dey, the key's with you right? i left it on the table", he looked and smiled, "no it's not with me"... i thought he was joking... well he kid us not, he left it on the table thinking that i took it. oh-the-guilt! then we suggested that we should get a locksmith to unlock the door for us, but iwan said he might have a spare key at the office. so we said to the office then. zadey and iwan was arguing about which route was best to get to their office, but since zadey was driving he vetoed it! haha, it was funny. what wasn't funny was that we got onto the highway 1 minute too early, and we got stuck in the jam!
as we sat in the car and chat, we noticed that the cars weren't moving an inch. then suddenly we saw the bikers making thier way back in the opposite direction of us, we were wondering what the f...??? what is going on? the rest of the cars decided to just park on the highway, and sat outside to enjoy the breeze, NOT! each of us stood there not knowing what to expect. iwan asked one of the guys who had walked in front what was going on? the guy looked at us and said, well "ada bas accident, terbalik!" as soon as i heard that "Oh-oh, starvation will start now". FREAKING CRAP! last they had this people on the highway was stuck up to good 2 hours. oh gosh, please let us not get stuck here for 2 hours. we were pretty lucky the night wasn't hot at all. it seemed like we were all waiting for the street party to start you know, the amount of cars, trucks, lorries, that was there. damn! iwan and hadi decided that they wanted to go and see the accident, i told them if you guys actually want to go and see its better if you go and help. but somehow they were tossing with the idea... sat with us for a while and then they decided to go... they were extremely curious, zadey kept on telling me the office is just about 1.5 km away, seriously it wasn't far from where we had stopped but there was no movement. then we were smart enough to play the "what if" game...
what if you had the house key in your bag?
what if the spare keys are not in the office?
what if this, and that.... arrghhhh..... not funny!
finally, we saw some movements from the cars infront, yeay so i called hubs, and told them that we were picking them up. they were thinking of walking all the way to the office already. drove and saw a couple of accidents where the back of a waja car was totally smashed by the taxi and the passengers were sent to the hospital. then further up, the bus had rammed into another car! ergh, honestly it was bad... i hope they're all alright.
thank goodness as we got the keys at the office, it was the right spare key. people, honestly make sure you have your spare keys stacked up some where. just in case a series of unfortunate events hits your way. we were thinking if, iwan did not have the keys and if his keys were in zadeys' house we'd make our way back to kl... phew, thank goodness everything was 'A-Ok'.

as mentioned i have been procrastinating my internship report, yesterday i decided just to browse through the guidelines and my-goodness its so not funny! haha, there's loads to write! dang... it has two parts to it. one is the final report, and the other is the daily log. i know i'm suppose to be panicking seriously,

we're going off to ipoh on wednesday. hooray, more good food to eat, but more importantly we're going there to play badminton. yes, ladies and gents my hubs is a badminton addict! haha. gotta say after a while badminton just grows on you.
been thinking about what we're going to do during this long hols, nothing interesting so far! sheesh, yesterday hadi jr. just invited us to langkawi 2nd week of may. might consider going, if time permits. ok people, think thats all for now. have to get started on my report! sob sob sob. i hope what nurul says will be true, once you've started and you get the flow its a lot easier and you'll be able to finish it in no time.

the.overly.exhausting.frustrating.language. EXAM
this morning, as enthusiastic and nervous as i was, i opened the website which i had registered for toefl last friday. as i clicked on the test 1, nothing appeared... as i kept on clicking and noticing nothing was loading i thought "yeay" i don't have to do it, i can just tell my instructors there was an error before i could even do the test. haha, yeah wishful thinking. then i realized, i had to enable the pop-up block. dang! i had no choice but to do it...
honestly, this test took forever. however due to the fact that we live in the 21st century everything is made simple. the new format is iBT - the internet base test. the first section was "reading" - ergh, i had to read 3 long and not so interesting passage to answer bout 39 questions. first passage was regarding the common dell' art, then it was regarding candles, lastly it was about the human brains. my-oh-my, it was mind numbing!
next it was the listening, ergh... seriously they had topics from anthropology, sociology, meteorology, and i can't even seem to remember the last few.
well, the thing was draggy and all... but at least i've tried the test. just need to practice more i guess.
also need to start working on my "internship report" which is due on the 4th of May. i've been procrastinating that one. dang, i sure hope i can work better when i'm pressed for time.

a conversation
a conversation i had made me wonder...
why is that people who's reaching their 30s are still acting as high school kids?
i mean honestly, no pun intended to anyone who reads this. but for heaven sake, why don't we just bury the hatchet? and let bygons be bygons. we've all had our fair share of relationships, you know the ones with mishaps but "WE MOVE ON". (well if you know me well enough, i can act my shoe size and not my age, but in this case its not the same). shouldn't we be more civilized now... hello people let's not forget we are in the 21st century. "please do WAKE UP and SMELL the COFFEE!!"...

finally...
after 3 weeks of waiting for an interesting show, i finally managed to scratch the itch! ugly betty episode 19 was released. yeay, i actually thought they ended season 1 already. must admit they have been rather slow and its rather annoying. that's what you get when you have absolutely nothing better to do than sit and watch all the series!
as i was about to watch the episode, i received a message from cikz, she mentioned that she got the job with LB! wow, i actually felt like a proud mommy... i was seriously happy for her. congratulations say; and all the best... finally huh after all the hard work you put in? you'll be joining the working class!
okay, back to ugly betty - this episode showed how ridiculously men can behave when their sick fetish is tickled! and to what extend they will go just to scratch it. and as for betty her self, she couldn't stop from getting too involved with work, and in daniel's personal life... ah well, the things you do to prove others that they are dead wrong about you.

great break
hubs and myself decided that we had to go some where for a break, well it really didn't matter if it was a day or two we just wanted to go some where. so, we decided to go to ipoh. oh by the way, this blog is delayed by a couple of days. we decided to go on tuesday 17.04.
early in the morning as i logged into my messenger, i was quite surprise to learn that my friend chak was awake. yeay! excitedly i sent her a message, asking if she wanted to go for breakfast? and lucky me, when it comes to food i can always count on her :) but unfortunately for me, she never seems to put on weight, i eat and have to work out hard, she eats and still doesn't put on weight! haha... anyway she said she wanted to have "nasi lemak bungkus". walked into the bedroom and asked hubs, where can we get nasi lemak bungkus now? he suggested that we meet at "tanjung putri" and so we did, we decided to meet there by 10:30 a.m.
we packed for ipoh, and drove to hartamas. met them, chatted, updated each other, and then we left. well they seemed pretty enthusiastic to catch the latest movie "jangan pandang belakang". haha, count me out! hell no i'm not going to torture myself...
we got to ipoh around 2 p.m. drove around and us being us, we did not book any hotels in advance. we like the feeling of not knowing where we'll be staying, i guess. hah! got to the first hotel casuarina, asked around but they were fully booked. then we moved on to syuen hotel, opposite ipoh parade/parkson. that hotel needs a refurbishment pronto! but i guess beggars can't be choosers! okay, so we settled for that.
zadey picked us up for dins, he asked what did we want to eat for dins before we go for our movie, hubs was kind of happy since zadey said he'd booked tickets earlier. but the happiness lasted only for 2 minutes, as they continued the conversation zadey said we were going for "jangan pandang belakang". Haha, they argued for at least 5 minutes hubs was not keen on watching it. got to the food court, we ordered:
1. ikan pari bakar
2. sotong bakar with four angled beans
3. crabs with sweet and sour gravy
4. "balitong" better known as siput sedut
the food was DELISH! iwan joined us too. as we sat and chatted, the boys planned their next badminton session in ipoh, next wednesday. yes, we're going back to ipoh next week. i couldn't believe it myself. ah well, not complaining... i like it. we had coffee at ipoh old town, and thought malik was joining us there. haha, silly us. hubs got punked! took a good 15 minutes drive to iwan's apartment, just to check it out. we loved the town houses there. a good investment! kaching!! well it's just an idea.
totally enjoyed our short stay there...

taking the next step
finally, after months of me contemplating... i finally registered for my toefl class! yes, people i'm not so confident of this darn paper! apparently, they have changed the exam modules, therefore there will be new sections added: speaking and reading. yeah sounds easy, thing is we at least need to score 70 for the iBT toefl. it is seriously crucial for us to learn on how exactly to manage the time for each section.
well i'm looking at the bright side, at least i'm keeping myself occupied before we go to dubai. i'm seriously looking forward to that, but i really have to plan it well. the toefl course will take at least 5 weeks (every tues and fri 7-9). by the time i'm done with the class i will have to register for the exam either here or there... yeah the dilemma! well either way, i don't mind... as long as i'll be done with the test and i will be able to receive my cert from UIU (upper iowa uni)... which i have been longing for.
well, if everything goes right in dubai (if god permits - insyallah) i will want to continue studying. next step will be masters - corporate communication. hoping that they'll have a great uni offering just that. but so far the uni's there offers mostly business subjects, which is not so appealing to me. i'll leave all that to hubs, hehe... sorry hubs! but i promise to be in the know! or at least put in some effort to learn more ok?

testing the water
i so wanted to try out the template from this blog site, however, i have to admit i have already committed myself to : http://eeshie.lifelogger.com
i seriously just wanted to check out this particular site for my friend. you see the thing is i wanted to get the easiest and the most user friendly blog site for her. she's going away for a 2 month trip leaving me behind to follow her dad while they explore the jungle, the country site of south america, and not forgetting, checking out ALL those countless hunks! (well yes, i better clarify it - only eye candy for her not for the dad of course!)
miss chakie, if you happen to read this... i'm so going to miss you! heck, who's going to the salon with me? who's going to entertain all my misfortunes of getting lost on the road to kl? who's going to entertain me with their axion dance? who's going to take me out to the tailor? who's going to come over at night and the hot milo while we watch grey's anatomy? and no more complaints from you about the dramas... you and i both know what i'm referring to here. love you babes!
